Jesus, during his time on earth, relived Adam's life as Adam had been intended to live it. And he relived Israel's history as Israel had been intended to live it. He did this so that he could replace Adam's and Israel's history with his own, and in so doing that we could share in that new life. It might sound a little complicated, but it is important because it's all about overcoming evil in our universe and in our own lives.
